CrankGoogle

Last Friday I posted a link to download the ringtone from the movie Crank.

By Monday it was the first match on Google for crank ringtone and crank ring tone. The ringtone has is getting over 100 downloads/day since.

How did I manage to beat out the studios, the official movie site, and the thousands of ringtone sites to be the first match on Google, and how did it happen so quickly? I'll post all the fun details in an upcoming blog entry.

Saw Crank last night with some friends from work. The best non-stop action movie I can remember seeing. For us it was the perfect stress relief for our regular 60-hour work-weeks. To top it off we passed on popcorn and soda and instead picked up forties at 7-11 on the way to the theater.

I found Chev Chelios's (Jason Statham) ringtone:

Crank

I don't go to concerts much, but this one seemed like something I shouldn't miss. I only know of these guys because of a funny video I saw on YouTube months ago.

Here's the video I saw:

They're called Hurra Torpedo and they are from Norway, so you know they're going to be wacky. The show is tonight (June 9) at the State Theatre in Falls Church, Northern Virginia, which is probably mile from where I live, and is a nice small place. Tickets are $15 via TicketMaster or at the door.

What do you think? Heard of them? Seen them?!

Hurra Torpedo

I'm back from Israel, but I'm not in Virginia at the moment.
Can you guess where I am? Here's your clue:

Rain rain rain
I'll be here till Monday.

I'm back from my two week trip to Israel. I'll have photos up soon. Still recovering from the jetlag..

The ride is over and I'm happy to say it was a wonderful success. The hotels, food, weather, and people couldn't have been more perfect. It was long, hot, and exhausting, and worth every mile of it.

Since I can't use my laptop (power supply is busted), I'm using a terminal in a Tel Aviv internet cafe to post this, and I'm about to run out of time.

The photos from the rest of the trip will be online soon after I return home on Sunday!

Day three of biking!

After being on road bikes for well over 100 miles it was a great change of pace and environment to hop on mountain bikes and take a rocky and hilly trail to a spring in the middle of the desert.

Today was the hottest day so far, and you'll see hardly any trees and lots of rolling rocky hills.

Distance: 67 miles including mountain biking
