I believe Joe-Anne is pointing out the White House, not the tree or traffic lights.

Ok, I looked it up and here's the results:
If a statue of a person on a horse has both front legs in the air, the person died in battle; if the horse has one front leg in the air, the person died as a result of wounds received in battle; if the horse has all four legs on the ground, like the Zizkov Monument, the person died of natural causes.
(Zoom in (click on the photo) to see an example with both legs up.)

I'd hit that.

This excellent photo is of Dylan standing in front of the White House. It was taken by Joe-Anne, who, in her spare time, is an amature photographer. Ok, not her fault -- it was balls hot and we wanted to get to the metro before totally sweating through our clothes.
