Bush spends $8 million on ads 'full of misleading and false statements'
October 22, 2004 7:26 PM
It's really sad that the Bush campaign, desperate for mud to sling, has resorted to spending $8 million on distorted anti-Kerry ads, running those ads more than 9,000 times in 45 cities last week alone.
From FactCheck.org:
Both ads repeat claims we've repeatedly disputed here. They both attempt to portray Kerry as eager to raise taxes on middle-income taxpayers, which Kerry has said consistently he won't do. One ad characterizes Kerry's votes against proposed tax cuts as votes to "raise taxes," an outright falsehood.
At least it runs in line with the Bush-way: spend big and mislead the public.

MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!!
From electoral-vote.com:
From The Los Angeles Times: Nationwide, at least two polls in the last week showed that newly registered voters favored Democratic presidential candidate John F. Kerry by double-digit margins. The Massachusetts senator holds an even greater lead, the polls found, among voters 29 and younger The conclusion is that the new voters and younger voters favor Kerry by a large margin, but historically they dont actually bother to vote. If they do this time, it could make a big difference.

First, I do like your site and have been visiting it for quite a while. I think you should try to consider both sides of this election. Kerry has really done nothing. A voter who votes against Bush just because he is anti Bush is not making a wise move.
A few facts:
1. There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq during the month of January.....
In the fair city of Detroit there were 35 murders in the month of January. That's just one American city, about as deadly as the entire war torn country of Iraq.2. When some claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war, think of the following ..
FDR...led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us: Japan did.3.John F. Kennedy. ..started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never attacked us.
Johnson...turned Vietnam into a quagmire. From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.Clinton...went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent, Bosnia never attacked us.4.We've been looking for evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find the Rose Law Firm billing records.

> 1. There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq during the month of January.....
That was 10 months ago. There's that many American deaths a week now in Iraq. The number of Iraq's killed (on both sides) is said to be ten times that according to the Pentagon.
> In the fair city of Detroit there were 35 murders in the month of January.A made up stat that doesn't make the American deaths okay. If anything, it proves that Bush shouldn't have cut the federal budget provided to states for their police and state troopers.
> John F. Kennedy. ..started the Vietnam conflict in 1962
No he didn't. Look back at history. The French were there long before we set foot there.
> Germany never attacked us: Japan did.
Germany declared war with the US a few days after we attacked Japan.
> Clinton...went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent, Bosnia never attacked us.
Zero American lives lost. The people of the country don't hate us for occupying their country.
