Those aren't commercials, those are republican propaganda films filled with inaccuracies, photoshopped images, and quotes and video taken out of context.

You Republicans really are desperate to cover up the mistakes that Bush has made in the last four years. It takes somebody that desperate to take somebody exercising their freedom of speech and use it against them. Why would you want to oppress the truth?

Not desperate at all...

but why are you afraid to view news clips that actually occurred, claim them to be "out of context" when they're not (I lived through this stuff, which you obviously haven't), make false claims of "photoshopped images" based simply upon your denial and refusal to acknowledge this is the legacy of this fellow....?

Sounds like you're desperate to explain away anything you can that exposes what Kerry actually did...

your rationalizations, imaginings, and excuses may give you a clear conscience for not accepting Kerry's background and record, but it does not change the fact of what they man actually did... and I did live through it and have watched Kerry in my home state of Massachusetts all through that vietnam era and since... so, I am quite assured of the veracity of this information, having seen the events as they occured at the time.... obviously, you can't say the same... too bad I can't take you back in time... you'd have an aweful big surprise if you could...

by the way, the original commercial is blatant propaganda, obviously....

the clips I listed were simply expose's, but served the same purpose...

and hence, carry equal weight...

I actually figured you'd cry "they're not commercials" and miss the point...

now that you've had it pointed out, you'll most likely choose to willingly disregard the point now... but the point has been made...

Though this ad appeals to the heart, let us not forget that the men and women fighting in Iraq have enlisted to fight for our country on their own free will; THEY WERE NOT DRAFTED!!!

This war cannot be compared to Viet Nam where most of the US soldiers fighting there were drafted against their will. They were blue collar workers, college graduates and civilians called to active duty.

I know many reservists who joined just to get a monthly paycheck, free education and prescription drugs.(VA) Of course they should have also realized that there is no such thing as 'free' and the price they are paying now is to actually be deployed to fight in a very real (and deadly) war.

I may not agree with Bush's foreign policies, but the men and women he sent to Iraq were the ones who CHOSE to sign up for our armed services for whatever personal reasons each had.

If you choose to join the US armed services (or the reserves) , you must be aware that the reality is that you may have to actually fight in a real war....DUH!

Sure, maybe they were not drafted, but i'm sure(at least I hope he would) that he wouldn't be complaining if "all the connections" etc. were there. Just because you are Coastguard doesnt mean you should risk yourlife saving a single fish- sure maybe they signed up but doesn't mean they should risk life for nothiung.

Also, now they are holding soldiers over their contract limits- making soldiers fight even if they don't want to and have no contract to do so. That seems pretty much like drafting to me. Unfortunately GOP is smart and mean enouph to hide that and instead replace it with fear tactics, which is what we are (supposedly) fighting.

Good Call

Good commercial.
