DARPA Grand Challenge video clips
Sad but real.
The last one in the video is a robotic motorcycle. Now you'd think: Why build a motorcycle? It would be so hard for the computer to keep it balanced, never mind navigating the 300 mile off road trail?
I won't spoil the ending.

DARPA has released the official video from the Grand Challenge on their website. Interestingly, there's an entire DVD Video image available for download. Best bits: a series of entrants running straight for the barrier in the starting area, and the more successful robots moving at speed through the desert. A DVD is also available from http://CustomFlix.com/205658 if you don't want to download 1.4GB and burn it yourself.

Hi!
Yes..really sad. The guy used his own money and seems like a nice enough guy...he just came up with the wrong idea...and made the decision to keep on trying to make something work that was (is) almost impossible. I really hope he realizes this and comes up with another idea. I also hope some of the newer people would at least share a few of their ideas with one or two of us "oldbies"...it could save a lot of time and money...maybe.Bryon

Halo 2 is the hottest game of the year. every one that own an X box must get Halo 2. This game will make more sales than any other game this year. I Just can't wait to play it. Peace.
