A friend IM'ed me this:
would you buy this book?

Heck yeah! I have no idea what the book is about, but in my opinion the best reason to buy a book (vs library) is for how it looks on the bookshelf. With art like this, it should make a fine addition to even the most particular of literary collections.
No Amazon link yet - according to the author it won't be out until this summer.

Aah, all it needs is a mutant kangaroo in the background with the wooley mamoths (see full picture) and it'd be complete.
As an aside: wonder if you can get a poster of it.. Would be kinda bizaar addition to have.. ;)
I'd swear the thing up in the sky is the flying spaghetti monster.. haha

Love the psycho/pulp feel of this one. I used to have a Lord of the Rings poster from the seventies that sort of had this feel. I'd splurge on a poster for sure.
