Well a company in England has created a service that you call on your cell phone, let it listen to 15 seconds of the song, and then it text messages you the name of the song back to you in the next 2-5 minutes. It's not free, but they say soon enough you'll be able to just hum the song and it will tell you what it is. More about it.

HERE IS THE EASIEST WAY TO FIND A SONG:
what you do is go to Google.com. Then type in the lyrics of a song. For example: "knocking me out with those american thighs"
and then type "lyrics". Be sure to put the line of the song in quotations as well as the word lyrics. Then several sights will come up that contain those two lines.
