Thats really a no brainer. The Dell comes with analog, s video and composite inputs as well.
Of couse the Apple comes wrapped in aluminium but I'd rather have the extra $500 in my pocket.

I would go with the Apple. The reason: If you read the review it says that the Dell "2005FPW had numerous discoloration problems and generally poor image quality". I assume this is how Dell got their price to be lower; they cut corners!
Are you planning on buying one or just drooling?http://www.DylanGreene.com

Neither buying or drooling. Saving my money for the XBOX 360 and maybe an HDTV. I just thought it was interesting that they both have the same LCD but such a huge difference in price/performance.

Apple recently adjusted the prices to catch up with Dell.
My recollection is that the reviewers didn't find any major problems with their sample. Various other reviews and personal experiences were that they had problems.
I don't think Anand would have recommended it over the CD otherwise. Certainly Apple's quality control is better all round. So there would be less of an issue in getting a dud.
Given the prices are closer I'd have to consider them both more carefully. If I was after a 20.

I personally prefer Dell, but I always thought Apple was a good product. However, I am no computer geek.

Wow, the prices on these have really come down. I see the Apple for as low as $599 now. In terms of coupons, many of the computer / electronics sites don't have coupon codes, and when they do, there are a lot of restrictions. Tech Bargains is definitely a great site to check for coupons on monitors. We have a limited list of Computer
coupons and Electronics
coupons, but they have in-depth product information.
